Quartz slabs are commonly available in 20mm and 30mm thickness. For most kitchen worktops, 20mm provides more than adequate structural strength and is widely specified in modern installations.

Lead Times
Lead times depend on colour availability and supplier stock levels. In-stock quartz slabs can typically be templated, fabricated and installed within 7–10 working days following measurement.

What are quartz worktops made from?
Quartz worktops are engineered surfaces made from natural quartz crystals combined with resins and pigments. The result is a strong, non-porous material designed for kitchen and bathroom surfaces.
Are quartz worktops heat resistant?
Quartz worktops are heat resistant but it is recommended to use trivets or heat pads for hot pans. Extremely high temperatures can damage the resin used in engineered quartz.
Are quartz worktops stain resistant?
Quartz worktops are highly stain resistant because the surface is non-porous. Common kitchen substances such as coffee, wine, oil and sauces will not easily penetrate the surface.
Do quartz worktops scratch easily?
Quartz worktops are very durable and resistant to scratching under normal kitchen use. However, cutting directly on the surface is not recommended and a chopping board should always be used.
How much do quartz worktops cost?
The cost depends on the brand, colour, thickness, dimensions, cut-outs, edge details and installation requirements. We price each project individually, so send us a kitchen plan or rough measurements for an estimate.
